Allée Bleue MCC - New Years Cocktails

Ever since mankind learned how to party, we have been chasing that perfect New Year's Eve celebration. 2012 is no different and Allée Bleue wants to help you achieve yours with these New Year's Eve cocktails.  [BUY YOUR ALLÉE BLEUE MCC ONLINE HERE, or VISIT OUR TASTING ROOM]

SORBET & ALLÉE BLEUE MCC COCKTAIL

The Sorbet & Allée Bleue MCC cocktail, an instant mood lightener, was the official drink of the "bright young things" who flitted through the novels of Evelyn Waugh. In this version, a scoop of sorbet takes the place of the traditional sugar and bitters and turns this classic into a delicious holiday slush.

Ingredients
1 teaspoon sorbet (we like raspberry or passion fruit)
Allée Bleue MCC (Rosé or Brut)

Directions
1. Scoop sorbet into a champagne flute. Fill with chilled Allée Bleue MCC (Rosé or Brut)
 ; stir.

MANDARIN COCKTAIL

Try this simple champagne cocktail for a delicious drink perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients
1 ounce mandarin liqueur, such as Mandarine Napolean
 4 ounces champagne
 Clementine peel, for garnish

Directions
1. Pour liqueur into a champagne flute; top with Allée Bleue MCC. Twist clementine peel over glass and gently drop into cocktail.

BLOOD ORANGE MCC COCKTAILS

The blood-orange juice turns what would ordinarily be a mimosa into a lovely ruby-tinted cocktail.

Ingredients
2 1/4 cups freshly squeezed or frozen blood-orange juice
2 750-ml bottles Allée Bleue MCC, chilled

Directions
1.
Pour 3 tablespoons juice in each Champagne flute. Fill flutes with Allée Bleue MCC, and serve.

RED CURRENT MCC COCKTAIL

This is a great cocktail for any celebration throughout the year.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons Red Currant Puree, chilled
 Champagne, chilled

Directions
1. Place red currant puree in a Champagne flute. Slowly pour over Champagne to fill. Serve immediately.

MATHA'S BERRY LITTLE COCKTAIL

Have yourself a berry little cocktail. Stir up this light, bright drink with the tang of citrus and a splash of Allée Bleue MCC to add a festive fizz to your holiday bash. This delicious holiday spirit is adapted from the November/December issue of Blueprint magazine.

Ingredients
 1/2 cup sugar
 1 cup fresh cranberries
1 ounce ruby red grapefruit vodka, such as Charbay, chilled
2 ounces Allée Bleue MCC, chilled
 1 ounce cranberry juice, chilled
1 ounce black currant juice or blackberry puree, chilled

Directions
1.
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, dissolve sugar into 1 1/2 cups water. Add cranberries and simmer until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain, discarding liquid, and place cranberries on a baking sheet. Transfer baking sheet to freezer and chill at least 2 hours.

2.
Mix together vodka, Allée Bleue MCC, cranberry, and currant juice in a Champagne glass. Garnish with a skewer of 4 or 5 frozen cranberries. Reserve remaining cranberries for another drink.

ALLÉE BLEUE MCC

No other drink seems better suited to a celebration than Champagne or Allée Bleue MCC. When those special moments arrive, you'll want to make sure you know how to open and serve this special beverage.

Champagne Opener How-To

Remove the wire cage while you are still holding the cork. Hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle. Hold the cork with one hand and the bottom of the bottle with the other; turn the bottle -- not the cork -- slowly and carefully. Release the cork gently, and pour the Allée Bleue MCC.

Additional Tips
1. Use flute glasses that focus the aroma, rather than coupes.
2. Pour the Allée Bleue MCC down the side of the glass to give the Allée Bleue MCC fewer "head bubbles."
3. Don't shake the bottle; it increases the internal pressure and the Allée Bleue MCC will have less fizz when you serve it.

Celebrate Fathers day 2012 at Allee Bleue Jazz Up Sundays

Each June, families find themselves scrambling to find a father's day gift idea that shows the father in their life how special he is. Power tools, ties, and bottles of cologne have become the mainstay of father's day. This year, why not give dad a truly unique gift that shows him how special he really is.

Wine, Dine and Jazz  Up Sunday at Allee Bleue Wine Estate:

Live classic performances are a real turn on for dads and will make the day one to cherish and remember. Sincere Swing, offers a soothing collection of easy-listening jazz for dad to relax to. Saying thanks with music is an emotional message and one that never goes out of fashion.

On the menu:

Roast rump, pork, rosemary potatoes and Mediterranean vegetables.
Sections of salads, cheese selection and
Mouthwatering desserts including favorites like sticky toffee pudding, Malva and chocolate mousse

We all know "girls just want to have fun," but we all know that it is the Dads that are the fun-seekers and the biggest kids in our lives. They care about how much fun everyone is having and not how much of a mess they are creating, while Moms can get caught up in the crumbs sometimes. Let Dad have fun without the fear of being scolded. Remember, it's only one day.

Fathers Day Quotes: Reflections About Dad

4 years: My Daddy can do anything!
7 years: My Dad knows a lot…a whole lot.
8 years: My father does not know quite everything.
12 years: Oh well, naturally Father does not know that either.
14 years: Oh, Father? He is hopelessly old-fashioned.
21 years: Oh, that man-he is out of date!
25 years: He knows a little bit about it, but not much.
30 years: I must find out what Dad thinks about it.
35 years: Before we decide, we will get Dad's idea first.
50 years: What would Dad have thought about that?
60 years: My Dad knew literally everything!
65 years: I wish I could talk it over with Dad once more.
